The Cast

Heidi Walcott as Wendy Phillips

Heidi Walcott is the quintessential ‘Trinbagonian Callalou,’ being of Portuguese, English, Spanish, Carib & Chinese background. Born a month early and entertaining us since, Heidi was co-hosting a Children’s Educational Show by 6, later on performing in school productions. Heidi studied and performed theatre with Albert Laveau and Lylah Persad at the Belmont Theatre Workshop, then joined Question Mark Entertainment where she studied acting for a year with Kirk Baltz and attended acting seminars with Rafael Noble. Gaining most of her knowledge from life experience, Heidi went on to take part in many music videos, commercials, TV Hosting gigs, short films and lately her biggest role yet, as Wendy in “A Story about Wendy.”

Catherine Emmanuel as Simone Davies

Catherine Emmanuel is a Trinidadian/Canadian actor and filmmaker. She started acting professionally in Canada in 2003 and landed her first screen role in Disney’s 2004 ‘Boss Girl’, featuring Megan Fox. She studied improv at Toronto’s renowned Second City Training Centre and has acted in award-winning films such as Maria Sødahl’s 2010 drama ‘Limbo’ (Best Director, 2010 Montreal World Film Festival) and Damian Marcano’s gritty 2013 release ‘God Loves The Fighter’. She currently lives and works in Trinidad.

Ayanna Cezanne as Sylvia

Ayanna Cezanne is an actress/tv presenter/writer/voice talent based in Trinidad and Tobago. Daughter of a veteran broadcaster/tv personality, she was exposed to the media, music, arts and entertainment industry from very young. Ayanna attended Lambeth College in the UK and graduated with a City and Guilds Diploma in Media Law, Video and Television. Post Diploma Ayanna worked as a Producer/Tv Presenter, Radio Personality and Events Manager. She is also a freelance copywriter and runs her own creative consultancy I-Bisa Events.

Karisse Montano as Giselle

Born and brought up in San Fernando, Karisse is a fun loving, family oriented individual. An Attorney-at-Law by profession, she is a firm believer that there is a time to work and a time to play. “Play is just as important as work” she says, “after all, all work and no play would make Jane a dull girl, it’s all about the balance.” “I’m extremely close to my family, especially my sisters, we have such a good time together and such a strong bond, I love just hanging out with them”.On her down time, when not travelling, Karisse enjoys curling up on the couch with a glass of wine and good book.

Jenny Kalloo as Debra Phillips

A former flight attendant, proud mother of one son, and accomplished actress. Jennifer Hay Kalloo is also a ‘wholistic’ activist, i.e. a voice for animals, the less fortunate and Mother Earth. She believes strongly in spirituality, giving unconditionally, empowering productivity in others and sharing the great power of LOVE which is sadly lacking worldwide.

Marcia Henville as Meredith James

Marcia Henville is a television producer and presenter; a radio talk show host and a writer. She was born and raised in England, and visited Trinidad and Tobago for a holiday at the age of 14, when she fell in love with the island. After returning annually over a number of years, she eventually decided to make Trinidad home.Marcia is married with two teenage children.

Ian Gill as Max Phillips

Singer, Actor and a proud father of six, Ian Gill is a world traveler whose motto is “Live life to the fullest.”

Yvette Adams as Annette

Yvette Adams is an accomplished stage and television actress having worked locally and internationally. Yvette was nominated for a Cacique Award for Best Supporting Actress.

Natalie Purvis as Dilan Phillips

Natalie was raised in small town Port Perry, Ontario to a Trinidadian mother and Canadian father. When her family was relocated due to her father’s career, she spent the better and worse parts of her teenage life in Bermuda.

Exploring the adventures of adult life she headed back to Canada to study advertising in Ontario and production in Vancouver. In which, presently owning a small clothing boutique in Trinidad was, clearly, the obvious path she would take. A bit of an over actor in her natural life, Natalie was an inspiration to director/screenwriter for the character of Dilan; yet still had to audition for the role of herself.

Pauline Mark as Cherisse

Pauline Mark is one of the faces to look out for in the local Arts and entertainment arena. She has been actively involved in the field for the past nine years starting as a stage actress with San Fernando Theatre Workshop. Ms. Mark is soon to be seen in the Canadian feature length film, Home Again in which she has a Principal role alongside Tatyana Ali, CCH Pounder and Paul Campbell.

Keeshon Vane as Sheldon

21 year old Keeshon Vane is fond of sports, and enjoys making people laugh. A Story About Wendy is Keeshon’s first foray into acting.

Ricado Jute as Paul

Ricardo was born and raised in south Trinidad and from an early age showed a love of media and the performing arts; Whilst in high school, Ricardo performed in many choir and theatrical productions. Upon graduating high school, Ricardo traveled and lived internationally where he explored media scenes, immersed himself in foreign cultures and interacted in all forms of nightlife. Graduating with a B.Sc in Media Arts, he returned to Trinidad and entered their evolving entertainment industry. Ricardo worked on GayelleTV as a presenter and fill-in host on their late night entertainment shows “Out & About” and “Night Shift” respectively.
